Coucou,
Hello,
my husband is a big fan of shirts, I had already sewn him one from Christelle Beneytout's book, but the sleeves are way too wide.
I had bought the pattern of the "James" shirt from Pattydoo in anticipation for my son-in-law, but there was a change in schedule, so I didn't sew it. My husband liked the pattern, so I printed and glued it on.
For this one, he chose the short sleeve version and I didn't make the pleat in the back. The next one will be long sleeve in a gray linen.
I was very lucky, I didn't need any alterations. Just for personal taste, he would like the next one a little shorter.
I had fun matching the pocket. Not very complicated in itself, you just have to transfer the shirt designs to the pocket pattern and then cut it at the right place. After that, you have to be as precise as possible. But it's worth it.
I also tried sewing the buttons on by machine, by hand, they never fit.
Patron / Pattern : James de Pattydoo
Tissu / Fabric : Coton à motifs dragons (Lea Rose Coton)
Boutons / Buttons : Veritas
Hello,
to accompany my Cancan on vacation with me, I didn't want to take my wallet with me, because I'm capable of forgetting it or losing it.
So I sewed myself a card holder to go with just the cards that are really useful.
I needed one that held at least 4 cards, a little search on Pinterest and I found this one (click) that was perfect for what I wanted. Four cards and in two colors. And free, what more could you ask for? Super easy and quick to make.
Coucou,
Hello,
here is the "Cancan" of Sacôtin, since its release, I want to sew it. (Pattern also available in English 😉)
My daughter is making me a bag, so she placed an order at 'La mercerie des créateurs' 😁
So I took the opportunity to buy... to be offered, the "Cancan" pack and the "Biguine" ... yes yes, I know that will make me several new bags, but that's okay, I love them all anyway and I use them, if and all, depending on the occasion.
I have to admit that for this bag, I'm pretty proud of myself. I didn't have to sew on the imitation and my machine was super nice to me, it sewed the layers without any grumbling.
I love it, but so much this machine...I can do FPP and sew bags. What more could I ask for?
Here, I didn't think anything of it, but I should have done a better job with the fittings.
Il va falloir encore s'entraîner. It's going to take some more practice.
For the rest, I am happy with the result.

Coucou,

Hello,
never 2 without 3, eh!
As I was well launched last week, here is a third kit, not a Roxy, but the "Fringante" toiletry bag from Sacôtin.
Because I wasn't the only one to fall for this pretty "Lolipop" coupon, my daughter also wanted a Roxy in this coupon, but since she's getting ready for a new bag, she prefers to have the matching pouch.
As a result, we didn't know which pattern to sew and since she was going to spend a weekend with her boyfriend to celebrate their first year (and I hope many more 😉 ). I proposed her to sew the same pattern as her father's (here), the idea was much more for her.

So here is a Fringante making her beauty at the hotel.

P.s. Good to know for visitors who don't speak French, the "Sacôtin" patterns are also in English.
